Do you keep close tabs on your kids of all ages when they use the internet?

No, I really don't. I don't believe in policing my children. I have done my best to teach them right from wrong. I have fully warned them about the dangers of revealing any personal information online. I do have my young daughter's password for her email and Facebook, though I rarely check them. I have just asked them not to clear the history and that if I find that the history has been cleared then I will be asking questions.
My son has an iPod Touch and is given pretty much full liberty.
The kids go on lots of sites that could potentially expose them to some nudity or foul language, but that is part of the reality of the world that we live in. If they come across that sort of thing, they just move on. It's really not the end of the world.
I think when you make something taboo that's what really makes it enticing. I prefer to be more laid back about things and it seems like the kids are the same way. They both have consciences but they are not imposed by us. They have been allowed some freedom in determining what's helpful and harmful. I see them making a stand for what's right on a regular basis. (ie. I mentioned the game 'Red Dead Redemption' to my son. He told me that although he wants to play it he has decided it's too debased so he doesn't want that one. I was pretty proud of him seeing as he is only 14!)
Anyway, everyone has their way of raising their kids, but this is working for us so far.
