History of vaccinations

I was raised in a household that was deathly afraid of vaccinations. I never understood why, really didn't bother to think about it...afterall, the Devil was in science and I was going to be in the paradise with my pet tiger and lion really soon. BUT, I did get a vaccine when we went to be need-greaters in a third world country eventually.

I learned about the WTBS opinions on vaccinations from JWD eventually. Now I understood it was "mother's" direction, not mom's. I heard an interesting podcast this morning on the history of vaccinations, and now understand more where the society was coming from.

Knowledge is power. Pretty interesting, I'm a science nerdy nerd afterall.

Dagney, I was also in one of those families. I've never been vaccinated and actually, it will be back to haunt me soon. When I go on to pursue my graduate degree, all of the public universities that are possible for me to attend require proof of vaccination...so I guess after 40 years, I'll end up w/ getting the shots anyhow.

Well maybe according to the podcast, the newer ones will be better. I wonder what all they vaccinate for now. Public school, that makes sense.

Good luck with all your goals. That is fantastic!!
