Does the Watchtower believe in International Security?

  The Witnesses almost wear this scripture as a badge of their ultimate validity:

  1 Thes 5:3 - While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

  Their version of the Bible translates "Peace and Saftey" as "Peace and Security" which is one of fundamental tenants of the United Nations. International Security is one of the United Nations main modes of operation.

  As a Witness I was taught that International Security is not my concern and I was conditioned to think lowly of anyone who persued it. I remember many instances of where I would feel very ashamed of my peers and my own thoughts. To me, someone has to protect the people. Maybe there will be a day when International Security is not a main focus because it doesn't have to be, but that should not make me judge anyone who believes in it.

  The Watchtower says that trying to save ourselves in this wicked world is in vain. They say this living within the freedom of the USA while they spew hatred of the country and it's people atop a building in New York City.

  It truly astonishes me and I don't think it ever will not do so.

  Humans have the potential to become corrupt. Are we going to do something about it or are we just going to demonize them from afar? What would happen if the governments of the world suddenly stopped worrying about the security of their people? Because that's what is implied by developing a hatred for the people who give themselves for that cause is it not?

  without the us they couldnt exist in their current form or operate the way they do.they bite the hand that feeds them. from their view i can understand they preach to stay nuetral but give the us some respect.if you had a sibling or school mate that acted like them (like the wbts specificly they would be despised cursing the person housing them take everything as if entitled like divas. maybe i went in a different direction its your post just my 2 drachmas

  The WTS. is always creating disingenuous stories to validate themselves and to create a state of urgency for the believing adherents

  to work harder proliferating the Organizations literature. When you look analytically at what they say, you can see there

  is a obvious agenda to stimulate more purchasing and distribution of the WTS literature and to strengthen the power

  of the people leading this organization. Why are people so stupidly willing to say and do what the WTS tells them

  is because there is that ever present element of fear, that exploits these people's own inherent ignorances and insecurities.

  Armageddon is near and your either going to live on in paradise or be brutally killed .....its that simple
