    Well, duhhhhhhh!

If you're educated, you have a certain confidence that you can weather any storm.

    Having confidence means less stress.

Less stress means lower blood pressure.

    It ain't rocket science!

    Thanks for that link, WasBlind.

It makes sense even from a financial aspect. I'm not doing too bad financially at this time, but I'd be less stressed if I had an addition $10,000 a year.

On the flipside of that, the WT will avoid articles such as this like an apostate plague. Another funny thing, the Theocratic Education that they tout as superior to all education, leaves the average JW more stressed than anything.

    Indeed!

After 11 years steeped in JW Land, I went back to college at age 36.

Using Watchtower speak, I wrote a paper that I thought was the shizzle.

The professor laughed and ripped it apart right in front of my very eyes.

    LOL.

One day I was with my witness wife at a "gathering" ( I just hate that JW-centric word) and the subject of me going to school came up. The JW, wife of an elder, lady we were talking to condescendingly rolled her eyes, looked at my wife and stated "he's not going to be one of those career students is he?". She then begins to go on and on about the best school to be in is the theocratic ministry school and how what is learned there is so superior to anything else.

Funny thing is, the subject of my educational goal came up just recently with the wife. She commented on how studious I was, how seriously i took my studies, and that she had no doubt that I could handle masters and doctorate level work. I graduate with a BA degree this year. Didn't have the heart to tell her that I was wayyy ahead of her in this regard and have already chosen a couple of masters degree level programs to apply for.
