New Simplified Watchtower Edition is up

  I don't know if anyone else noticed this yet but jw.org has the first issue of the simplified English w (July 15,2011) issue up in PDF. A letter from the gb gives the reason for this trial edition. The regular study edition is up also in PDF and has some anti- apostate comments, including a warning against looking at apostate websites and commenting on their blogs. Of course-it directs full loyalty to the f&ds and GB as the only way to please Jehovah and enter into his rest.

  Is it just me, or is the wts really increasing the importance of the f&ds? No mention of obeying Jesus of course.

  How do I access these editions in PDF so i can read them ??

  please, the WT.org site doesn't tell you how to do it ?? I know I'm a techno- phobic old fossil, but please help the afflicted.

  Don't Panic!

  I've cracked it, got the PDF, I don't know what I was doing wrong before, it was easy.

  Now I just have to get my strength up, and at least two sick-buckets handy so I dare to read the bloody thing !

  No, Factfinder, I also believe that this is the saddening reality the Watchtower organization has sunk itself into: a filthy and dangerous cult of the "faithful and discreet slave." Evidently, the Governing Body themselves are not completely aware of the true impact of the "food" they are supposedly approving to be distributed to the "association of the brothers". Even though they realize that they are to be acting as a representative of the "faithful slave class," they view this class as something superior to them and they feel themselves submissive to it and bound to its principles. On the other hand, there is too much evidence against them and they are unable to acknowledge the truth without jeopardizing the public image of the organization among the members. This means that the only effective means of proceeding is to tighten the control and the cultishness of this religion. Sad but true.

  @wobble- did you read any of it?.

  I was not aware when I posted this, but there is a lot of discussion about this issue going on here!

  @Caminate- they have really been pushing the importance of the f&ds and gb in just about each study edition the past 2 years. It seems to be intensifying. Yes,its like you put it "the cult of the faithful and discreet slave". It wasn't like this when I was a witness.

  What kind of shit is this! The organization never disappointed anyone? Let me see, wasn't 1914 supposed to be the end? What about 1925, wasn't there more proof for 1925 than for 1914? Or what about 1975 which may have been off only by few months and not years! The always emphasis on the ever coming end that just never gets here - am I just making these things up? What about the organ transplants and immunizations? Blood fractions are ok now? What about UN? Child abuse gag orders didn't disappoint anyone either? Hmm This statement is a total outright lie only for ignorant witnesses who don't have a clue what their cult is doing behind their backs. The pure water they give out, smells like pure bullshit to me so I don't know from what well they get it from but I know I wouldn't want to drink something as repugnant as their "pure water"!!!
