I wrote this in December last year. I won't be writing much more, but I do think this topic needs some debate.

It never received any when posted. Where are the Watchtower or other apologists who can argue this? Let us all see YOUR arguments.

I'm dying but before that happens I would like to see some healthy debates in here!

Let the good times roll! For me. At least.

Wow! I just finished reading what you wrote in Dec. It makes so much sense. The next time I get a chance I have to bring this point of view up to my son who is still in, not very active, but believes its the true religon. I've been fading for the past year & a-half, only because he's still in & pretty much goes with what the GB says. You do have an impressive explanation. Thanks! I'm so sorry to hear that your dying.

: What do you mean you are dying?

Huh? Is that unclear for you?

Where is the ransom debate I challenged? Where are the Watchtower defenders of one of their most cherished doctrines?

I thought about the JUSTICE aspect of the ransom and it suddenly seemed clear to me.

The perfect JUSTICE of Jehovah could not permit the INjustice of rewarding sinful people and punishing a non-sinful son!

It is not only UNjust it is helter-skelter, willy-nilly and bass-akwards.

JUSTICE means you get what you DESERVE.

Sinful humans get death because they earn death by sinning. That is JUSTICE.

But, after thousands of years of exacting this penalty we are supposed to believe Jehovah gets an aneurism and changes his mind about

    what JUSTICE is.

Suddenly those who don't DESERVE life are rewarded by GRACE (UNdeserved favor). Where is the JUSTICE in that?

The inconsistency makes it readily apparent that somebody MADE THIS SILLY DOCTRINE UP out of thin air.

    The Ransom is UNjust.

Jehovah is either reversing his own righteousness or abandoning his standards by allowing an innocent man (Jesus) to accept punishment for

    more than one guilty persons.

I think you've made the weirdness of this idea pretty darned clear!

Farkel, who can debate this? If you want debates, you need to spend a little less time developing humorous and well reasoned arguments. Stop already with the logic.

I wish you posted more. (sigh)

The fact that you have no takers Farkel . . . answers the question I think
