"Tornado treasures returned through use of social media"

The story is excellent and heart-moving. If you want to scroll down about 1/3 of the Tullahoma News Home Page under "Local News," and there will be three photos one of which is of me holding what my husband found in our yard in Tennessee the day after many tornados hit Alabama. This debris most likely came from the hard-hit eastern section of Athens in Limestone County, Alabama, which is about 80 miles from Tullahoma, TN.

I couldn't copy here the photos that appeared in the newspaper next to the descriptions of debris found. See links below.

Has anybody else here in the South found "Tornado treasures" in their town from many miles away?

Barbara Anderson displays tornado debris that ended up in her 1527 Normandy Road, Tullahoma, yard Thursday. She is holding a Dec. 22, 1997, check from a Huntsville, Ala., bank account registered to an Athens, Ala., couple. The picture from whereabouts unknown, shows an unidentified dog that apparently was someone’s prize possession. --

The pictures on TV looked horrific, When you live in a benign area of the world, it is difficult to comprehend the impact of storms of this magnitude.
