a styrian land owner put up these signs on a pilgrim's path passing through his forrest. he does not allow priests to pass through his property when accompanied by children without their parents. "stopp missbrauch" is "stop abuse", "kinderschutzgebiet" means "child protection area".

I wonder why he felt the need to take such steps . . . his forest became the local hotspot for pedophiles? . . . good on him anyway, there's nothing wrong with giving the problem some exposure. He could probably start a business making and selling those signs.

seems like he had to experience the problem first hand, that's why he put up those signs, more so, as pilgrims would wander about there all the time.

What a pity a Kingdom Hall could not claim to be a"Child Protection Area".
The JW's policy for protecting the young and the vulnerable is disgusting in its ineptitude.
Their attiude is "Just make sure Jehovah's name doesn't get reproached"
They do not care about the poor victims, just reputation, sickening.

this is a quick translation of the bottom sign:
Child Protection Area! Access to this property forbidden to priests, religious personnel or other church staff accompanied by unsupervised children without the presence of their parents, guardians or authorized representatives. Violators will be charged without exception. The large number of incidents of abuse in the Roman Catholic Church force us to this precaution in the interests of vulnerable children.

@wobble: you could put up "pedophile protection area" signs on kingdom halls.
