This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14) Today, that prophecy is in the course of fulfillment on an unprecedented scale. True, untouched territories still exist, and it may be that in Jehovah’s due time, a large door leading to greater activity will open. (1 Corinthians 16:9) Nevertheless, the Bible does not state that Jehovah will wait until every individual on earth has received a personal witness. Rather, the good news must be preached to Jehovah’s satisfaction. Then the end will come.—

OK so preaching to everyone will never happen too many people too many places. But this scripture that the WT uses about a witness to all the nations. All I can ever think about is how this relates the UN scandal. When the Gaurdian (British Press) exposed the WTBTS as a NGO in the UN. Then they suddenly revoked their status. However the comment from the UN's Public Relations Dept was what REALLY HIT ME!!!!

The Guardian had shown some of the UN staff what the WT had printed about the UN being the Beast. PR Spokeswoman said "We had no idea that was what they thought of the UN, we were completly stunned"

Now if the Society is suppose to be preaching for a witness to all the nations and somehow they can't even get word across the Brooklyn Bridge to the UN in the same city then how on Earth will they ever be able to get this job done. They have 100 years and not only did the UN have no idea but it turns out that some "worldly" publication/press ended up doing their job for them. Let's just face it the Society and JWs are a complete failure on all accounts.

Good point, Foster. It's sort of like all those stupid "proclamation" or "resolutions" they occasionally announce at the Conventions. Like it's going to be some big front page article in Time magazine or something. In reality, 99% of the population see JWs as nothing more than an oddity, if they notice them at all.

Just another crazy Christian faction preaching Doomsday.

And all these years we and other dubs never realized it. Never saw the forest through the trees!! It actually hurts a little bit once you step back and realize how much time you wasted thinking you were doing something important on behalf of God. When the reality was the publishing company had no intention on sharing their beliefs with the general public. They just wanted to keep you busy so you didn't have time to examine them!

To me the funny thing is that the scriptures they use about that (preaching to all nations) as well as the "end of THIS system of things" always has to have a connection with OUR DAY. HELLO! Some scriptures may be fulfilled more than once because things (Like the ENDING OF SYSTEMS OF THINGS...i.e. "way of life", "governments" etc) happen over and over throughout history. Jesus and the Apostles were living in the era of the ROMAN EMPIRE...the end of Jerusalem's system (temple, way of life) was about to end. Nations rose against nation in those days too. How did Babylonians ever gain power? There were wars to be fought. Even God's chosen people fought in battles.

But see, the Witness really mean that THEIR Good News will be preached...when in fact, the Good News that Christ brought is known all over the world. More people know of the Gospel (of Jesus) Globally, than they do about a religious Cult called WTBTS or Jehovah's Witnesses...even tho the Watchtower is the most published magazine in the world. (funny how they always BOAST this at meetings)
