    Blood – Doctrinally Well Informed?

Today I loaded a new article to my blog addressing a particular view Watchtower wants doctors to have of the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses compared to what Watchtower is actually doing. This article includes an excerpt from an article written by a Watchtower representative of its Department of Hospital Information Services.

My article is titled Blood – Doctrinally Well Informed? and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/06/blood-doctrinally-well-informed.html

    Speaking from experience:

Nowhere in the literature or videos could I find information that EPO takes days before it starts having a meaningful affect.

Not knowing this, a close friend of mine was treated with EPO and iron injections after a massive blood loss. They died.

Reading all the blood articles is a confusing mess, especially when you get into the fractions. Some Christians feel this way... (quote a previous stand), Some Christians feel this way (present a more logical, or less logical, viewpoint). Provide some arguments (of various logical coherence to back up each viewpoint). Sometimes, ake a negative bias towards one of the sides (such as is the case with the somewhat frowned upon but "conscience matter" hemoglobin fractions). Then say that it is up to each Christian to decide for himself, and they are responsible for their own decision. The irony is that more than a few witnesses spend their time trying to "read between the lines" and see if the so-called "conscience" matter is being cast in a negative or positive light to make their decision.
