The Borg has made our previous lives so unbelievably bad we are damaged people who were hurt by seven old twats, who raped the minds of their followers, the best we can hope for is that our kid's have as little knowledge of old men in power sitting pretty in their position of absolute power as possible.

I would change that slightly from "having as little knowledge" to "having as little experience". I don't want my children to experience being captive to a high control group, but I certainly what them to know about it, so that they are aware of the signs and do not become misled by a similar group themselves.

I hate to break the news to you, but this situation is not mutually exclusive to JW's.
Everyone on this planet has been raised by parents who were victims of their parents, who were victims of their parents, and so on.
I suffered alot of emotional trauma when I was a child, and tried to bring my child up in a better way, which I did.
My child does not see it that way, because she has no reference point.
In other words, she did not experience MY childhood, so she has nothing to compare her 'better life' to.
