Things that make you go "Hmmmmm..."

  Remember those Arsenio Hall "things that make you go Hmmm"?

  Here's one; Is it me or do most witnesses never wonder how an "annointed one" becomes annointed? If there are "replacements" to those of the "little flock" that fall away...couldn't this just go on forever? And if one was REALLY ANNOINTED, why would they ever want to mess that up?

  Here's another; The GB are the "spiritual leaders" of the Watchtower Org. right? Many of them probably do not have COLLEGE DEGREES in LAW or BUSINESS or FINANCE. So why do many dubs view them as the "spiritual AND organizational leaders"??? It makes no sense to me. I think the GB are puppets (maybe even 'paid' puppets) and some SAVY Corporate minds are really running the show. You can't tell me they're THAT SMART! NO WAY!

  Well, it's quite obvious that you can't perpetuate an entity like this without some people with degrees running the show, or at least highly placed in certain departments to train other people.

  The anointed concept was always a black box. It was like those Apple Jacks commercials where they'd ask kids why they liked it and they'd say, "We just do! We eat what we like!" It just happens. I used to think that, since they supposedly felt certain scriptures were directed at them, that the words turned gold like the Ring of Power or something while they read the Bible. But given that everyone was being practically threatened for having such a feeling of going to heaven, it seems like you'd have to be pretty tough to handle the pressure of it.

  If the house that Rutherford built still bears his stamp, you can be [blank] sure that the lawyers are running the show. So much of the framework is there so that the Society (1) gets its money and (2) protects itself from legal liability. Sounds like a lawyer to me.

  Yeah, I used to wonder about that. That's what got me into trouble, I thought too much about things that just didn't make sense in the Borg.

  I do wonder how they know they're anointed. And how and why everyone else believes them.

  As to the prganisational thing though, I don't think you need a degree to be able to organise, do you?
