Well, Sean has committed to becoming a Catholic. Last night and this morning he called his dad to inform him of his decision. Last night Garry was VERY casual about it. This morning when Sean Called and said it was his final decesion Garry said, "I know, if you want to leave Jehovah that's up to you." He then hung up with out so much as a goodbye. Another fine example of the loving JW family in action.
Sean has been brave throughout this. I'm proud of him (he's been reading "n Search..." and that has pretty much set him against the Society for good I think.
While i would never join an org myself, one i do respect is the catholic. Thanks for the update. I wish sean happiness in his future.
BTW the name jehovah was invented by a dominican monk, raymundis martini, in the 13th century - see 'aide to bible understanding' 1969 pg 884 last paragraph, published by watchtower bible and tract society. I wasn't able to find this same information in the insight books that replaced the aide book. So when garry spews his stupid accusation about leaving jehovah, you could ask him who invented the name. He won't know, off hand, so it would need to be pointed out to him.
