Sure was, what was he doing from his palace's rooftop, at night, looking at a young woman taking a bath? And was she the only one?
King David was a peeping tom!!!

If she took a bath in a spot that was visible from a nearby rooftop, then she wanted to be seen.

That too, in other words, she liked to strut her stuff.

Band on the Run
The more I read or heard of David, he had major sins that should preclude his ine being favored. Bathsheba was the ultimate. All the concubines sickened me. Let him go be a concubine. God is not an impartial judge or cares about improprieties or the appearance of impropriety.
Noah's drunkeness. He doesn't even admonish these dudes. Today, I'd say it makes them more human and understandable. I was born in, however, and these men were minor deities. The WT never condemned their behavior.

Re: King David. I estimate hundreds of millions of men today use pornography. Social embrassment disappeared with the internet. It is not lead these men to commit murders to obtain these images for themselves. David was not in love but lust. After Bathesheba, he continued to maintain his harems in the thousands and who knows how many concubines. Sleeping with the young girl for warmth. Right!
David broke every human code. If David heard about David, his body would have impaled and stuck on a pike for all Jerusalem to see.

Exactly, if he was in love the way the bible portrays it and being such a man of god, he would've told the concubines to go home and have a monogomous relationship with his true love. Besides, why did he need a beautiful virgin to keep him warm? Why couldn't a man do it? Afterall, he was only trying to get warm, right?

No Room For George
Good thread. David was as imperfect as they come. He was a womanizer, a murderer, a warlord, a hothead, he was pretty much a red headed version of Khal Drogo, but God loved him.
