I was discussing with my Mother who is an active witness what I was like as a young JW kid.
She told me about the time there was a discussion way back in the early seventies about how Armageddon would be a time of terror and there would be so much going on.
That night she said there was a terrible thunderstorm and she said the following morning I woke her up to tell her we "survived armageddon and could I please go play with the animals"
Oh the life of a child!
That's funny and sad at the same time.
Because of the story angels striking down the firstborn of those without the blood on the doorpost I was terrified as a child that the angels would come and get me in my bed at night.
I was too yrkdnme. My parents led double lives so I was petrified we'd be destroyed if I wasn't on my best behavior. I am a firstborn too.
Truthseeker - it was awful worrying about Armaggedon while growing up... such fear.
