Space station supplies will be managed through NASA's COTS (Commercial Orbital Services Transportation Services) program, which uses launch services from private companies.
American atronauts will hitch a ride on Russian rockets for the a time. In a few years (2014), that will be switched to COTS as well.
BTS
So I guess us Americans really do like having Foreigners Drive us around...... Taxis and Space Travel LMAO!!!!!!!!
I wonder how much they charge per trip and how it would compare if the US was footing the cost of the shuttles?

Space Shuttle runs $450 million per mission:

IIRC, there are usually 3 crew members per mission, so that is $150 million per person. The SS has a capacity for 7 passengers, however.
Soyuz costs $23 million per seat in 2007, with 3 seats, so about $69 million overall or thereabouts.

I know this comparison doesn't take into account cargo, but it does attempt to compare cost per launch for passengers.
Its time for other countries to take over.
China is thinking of going to the moon! :D I hope they do...
It is a very exciting time to be alive. The discoveries roll in every day. They say it's not a matter of if there is life out there, but when they will find it.
