I haven't read your article just yet, but my first thought was that maybe, just maybe, Ike Turner was raised a Jehovah's Witness? Then I saw that your article was political in nature. Oh well.

That's funny. My third grade teacher had an original "I Like Ike" button. For some reason she showed it off to us.
I guess she liked him.
