...have you guys noticed people saying how christianity has always been logical, and the 'right way' the only way, etc. Doesnt this just got on your nerves! No disrespect to the believers on JW.net, but I've been doing research on the history of christianity, and wow. Why dont most christian do research on the history of their own religion? I dont understand how you can call yourself a christian but not do research on the history of your religion.

I've always appreciated how loving it was when Jesus threw Satan out of the heavenly spirit realm down to earth to screw with all us imperfect human beings for 100 years. That's pretty amazing.

I did lots of research on Christian history myself, come to think of it. It is pretty much de rigeur when you are a born in JW questioning everything you were taught.

They always say its logical and the right way, thereby eliminating any need for constructive criticism. Is it logical? Well they said its so! Are we happy? Well they said we were! Is it the truth? Well they call it that, duh!!!!!

Some of us do/did, dear Joliette (peace to you!)... which is why some of us (myself, certainly), no longer have any sharing with her... or her sins... and thus won't share in her plagues. The history of "christianity" is embarrassing and reprehensible. Even heinous, in some instances. The history of christians, however, those who are such by means of an anointing with holy spirit... which goes back far beyond when our Lord actually walked among mankind... is not the same thing, truly. Regardless of what "they" say.

    Again, peace to you!

    Joilette,

You have read the modern works of the likes of CS Lewis, Wright, Craig and others, yes?

And the works of Augustine, Aquinas, Luther and others too, yes?
