I was surprised to see WPB on the list, and New Orleans NOT?
odd, really --- that many cities in CA out of 20? I'm thinking it's based solely on property values and unemployment rates (Flint of course made the list!).

I think Calif leads, but Florida and Michigan /Ohio are right behind. When we retire will keep all this in mind.

That's a rather bizarre and random list. Sacramento made number 5 because their pro basketball team sucks? And Miami at #2, people must be leaving there in droves... or not.
My city got knocked for high sales tax. Big deal. Overall prices are low and incomes are high, usually earning the city a fair rating for living standard. I think Forbes is out of touch.

These lists are a way to fill space when legitimate journalism cannot come up with interesting (particularly evident during August - but happens in every month of the year).
I personally would put any city in Nebraska on such a list - but Warren Buffet seems to like it...and I doubt that he is willingly miserable.
