Nathan Knorr & Robert E. Lee

There’s two names readers don't usually see together!

Today I uploaded a new article to my blog addressing something these two men have in common.

My article is titled Nathan Knorr & Robert E. Lee and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/nathan-knorr-robert-e-lee.html

This blog article contains a piece of information about a particular document that is only recently confirmed and is now shared for readers to understand what they are looking at. It makes you think!

    Thanks Len.

Watchtower’s shamed for sure, but the blood shown on that MCP card is not only crying out, it is echoing back at Watchtower for all Jehovah’s Witnesses today to know what Watchtower did.

It sickens me to write about it, but it has to be told. It was particularly sickening to finally have it verified the substance on that card is for a fact blood and, as the story is told me by multiple parties, is blood of a Witness who was beaten to unconsciousness, robbed and left with this card stuck in his shirt pocket by MCP thugs because of refusing to hand over the money based on a notion that it would be a form of allegiance to the Malawian Nation!

I don’t excuse the MCP thugs for one second for that beating. But as sure as I’m sitting here Nathan Knorr and Company are also morally culpable for that crime, and even more so given the nature of the document in the face of what Knorr himself was doing!

I believe there are alternatives to the oath for religious objectors. Maybe there are now. After all I heard about Witness neutrality and my uncles in prison, this is sickening. The Internet is amazing.

    Marvin,

I've asked before how you choose your topics. Do you leaf through WTs or do you have an idea of what is in there. Besides throwing light on the WT, your finds are interesting gems to a neutral person.

Marvin, I have long had an idea that I think is a very powerful tool in reaching even hard-nosed JW's.

It would consist ONLY of actual photographic scans of various documents, articles, photographs such as the ones you have on your Blog.

There would be NO EXTRANEOUS non-official text whatsoever.

It would be published the size of an old LIFE magazine and sent anonymously to JW's at their homes.

The cover would clearly contain the words: "All contents originally published by Watchtower Bible &Tract Society"

The fact that no gloating, goading commentary appears anywhere on this Magazine would put the Society in a weird position, indeed!

If they declare it "Apostate" they are condeming themselves while admitting the contents are damning!!

    What do you think?

    Terry,

Putting together such a compilation is a great idea as an educational tool. I'll give it some thought. Why don't you do the same and then contact me so we can put our heads together.
