In an email that came today, I received the following from a new "User" of the Watchtower Library 2010 CD that I felt inspired to share.

The "User" pointed out that listed under the "Conditions of Use" was this disclaimer:

This CD is... "PROVIDED TO YOU IN 'AS IS' CONDITION WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF PERFORMANCE, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU BEAR ALL THE RISK RELATING TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE."

The "User" then suggested that said "Disclaimer" should appear in all publications produced by the WTBTS and should be the Disclaimer used by ALL elders. It should read:

    SPIRITUAL FOOD DISCLAIMER CLAUSE

THIS SPIRITUAL FOOD PROVIDED BY THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE AT THE PROPER TIME IS "PROVIDED TO YOU IN 'AS IS' CONDITION WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF PERFORMANCE, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU BEAR ALL THE RISK RELATING TO THE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE."

Isn't that pretty much what the Society tells the elders?

Just like booze, smokes, and prescription meds, WT literature should have printed warnings on them.

For example: "Reading this may cause false expections and alienation from reality."

Why not "disclaimer clause", especially cult like organization.

You may lose your family, you may lose your life ( no blood).

There will be a long list of disclaimer clause for the borg.

Billy that's a good one "false expections and allienation from reality". LOL

They actually do have disclaimers all through their literature, if you know what you are looking at.

My favorite is how they tell you that you have a prospect of everlasting life if you follow their instructions. No promise, just a prospect.
