Is it true that only the awake will be to the public

We only studied the Watchtower in KH in my day. Awake was more of a marketing ploy to reel people in before they realized it was a religion. I first heard 1975 during a lecture that Freddie Franz gave at Yankee Stadium. He made the point that the world was not ready for this information. It was only for JWs. We were never to tell outsiders about the 1975 prediction.

JWs were so hyped up. It was hush-hush. After I left, I'd see 1975 pushed prominently in NY so I assume the teaching changed.

Using only the Awake would reel more people in to the org,IMO. It is harmless in many ways. The WT is boring and heavy as hell itself.

As far as I know this was just speculation in a recent post. It would probably be a logical move for the Organization, although I think it wouldn't be viewed as a positive thing, the Watchtower is the flagship publication after all ... time will tell.

If the way you remember this is true, that is such a contradiction to the idea that we are responsible for the salvation of others through preaching. So which is it: a BIG secret only for JWs, or a life saving message that we are responsible to share?? So confusing!

"Simplifying". As mentioned above, cutting out the "public" Watchtower makes the best sense. Watchtower to control the flow of info. Awake to market to the public.

Because they knew the 6000 years dating system was a deliberate conniving fraud, so they made up a story around it and presented it to the

faithful so they would heighten their time in their door to door witnessing work, increasing both the size of the Watchtower Kingdom and

creating more obtainable wealth. Disingenuous corruption at its best.

So why oh why would the WTS. slowly peter out their book and literature publications ?

Could it be that the information put out and proclaimed by this organization since its existence was just commercialized bullshit ?

Perhaps now the general public has AWAKEN to this fact !
