    Elder Involvement — Graphic … pages 11-12

Today I added to my blog pages 11-12 of the 13-page submission by a Doctor of Psychology that is a Watchtower appointed elder. He had ideas about elder involvement with Jehovah’s Witnesses suffering mental illness, and particularly victims of child abuse, and thought it best to share these with Watchtower.

My article is titled Elder Involvement — Graphic Presentation and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/elder-involvement-graphic-presentation.html

As I have time to ready additional pages I’ll upload them to this article until all 13 are available. A few readers have asked by email about the bibliography with this information. I have not forgotten the bibliographic page and will include it as I trudge along.

Someone else told me that today, but it looks fine in my browser. The background is tan and the font is black. The image files stand alone for download.

In my browser the fields look like this:

Does anyone else have a problem viewing my blog material?

Well this guy certainly knows his stuff . . . and writes so comprehensively about a truly significant and widespread problem.

I was in a congregation in the late 80's which had a middle-aged couple, the wife of which had MPD as a result of ritualised and prolonged abuse by her Father. She had 11 "alters" one of which was a dog (use your imagination), which only barked. It was the most tragic, but at the same time intriguing distortion of the human psyche I have ever witnessed. We invited them to our home several times, but the gatherings were always an ordeal for everyone . . . and absolute torture for her. Occasionally congregation meetings were disrupted. Her husband was one of the kindest, humblest and patient men I've ever known. A few families were very kind in reaching out to help. The majority, including the Elders, kept their distance. One Elder even said to me . . . "this is not the place for people with those sorts of problems". That was my personal experience.

That things have not changed . . . even regressed in terms of the scope of this letter, demonstrates unequivocally that this organisation is out of touch and unloving at the most basic human level. It comes nowhere near reflecting the personality of the imaginary God they claim to worship. It shows those at the top clearly for what they are . . . heartless, cold and self-motivated to the point of psychopathy. And from another angle . . . weak, ignorant, sad and pathetic human beings.

ED: Marvin . . . when visiting your blogsite, I click on each page to enlarge the image into a new window. Then I click to enlarge it further. At this magnification it's easier to read than the words I'm now typing. Readers need to follow the instructions.

I am having a problem on your site. When I click on the Watchtower to enlarge the print a pop up box appears and asks me to download this file. If I do I am then prompted to allow something called cyberlink access. Then after all this I can only read one page at a time. I gave up.

Viola . . . you're probably getting the pop-up/download box on account of the security settings in your browser. If you have good anti-virus protection you don't always need this. I too can only read on enlarged page at a time . . . but it's instant and easy.

This blog stuff is time consuming and frustrating.

I think I got the snafu worked out that was causing bugs for some readers. If not, please let me know so I can spend more time on this elephant of a job.
