    God or Satan — Pyramids?

Today I uploaded a new article to my blog addressing an instance where Watchtower was flipping and flopping about a point of origin, whether God or Satan.

My article is titled God or Satan — Pyramids? and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/god-or-satan-pyramids.html

Your post reminded me of a remark in the Watchtower regarding what is and what isn't an 'old wives' fable.' It made smile.

(Watchtower May, 1881, p224 of Reprints, article “THE YEAR 1881”)

“Our expectations then, relative to this year [1881] are very different from those of others interested in it. As to “Mother Shipton’s prophecy” we of course give no heed to such ‘old wives’ fables.” But the teachings of THE GREAT PYRAMID are quite different. We have great respect for it…”

(FYI, Mother Shipton's prophecy supposedly was, poetically, “The world to an end shall come, in eighteen hundred eighty one.”)

So funny, dear MS (peace to you!). Actually, pyramids (whether Egyptian, Mayan, Aztecan, what have you)... weren't commissioned by God OR Satan... but are the attempts of MAN... to outdo/one-up their enemies. They are nothing more than altars ("high places")... that also serve as tombs. Or vice versa. Their commissioners built them to replicate being "under the altar" [of God] when they die... which destiny they learned of from the Hebrews and their descendants (Cain/Abel, Noah, Abraham, etc.)... and made them large... well, for obvious reasons: the bigger the "better." True, they were often built to false gods... or the false assumptions of the True God... but they are constructs of the arrogance of man (a lot like Babel).

Folks don't realize that while the Egyptians worshipped many gods... and considered pharaoh a god... they also knew about the Most Holy One [eventually, "of Israel"]. Which is why it was such a big deal that Pharaoh of Moses' day tried to deny it ("Who is this JAH; I do not know of JAH"). He did know... because Israel was IN Egypt at the time, as well as because Egypt was over all of the land at that time, including land given to Abraham. Both Abraham and Melchizedek had contact with the sitting Pharaoh of their day. Sarah even went to live with one for a brief time. And when famine hit the land [all of "Egypt"]... Israel... which resided in land that was UNDER EGYPTIAN RULE (as was the entire region all the way to the East)... HAD TO GO TO EGYPT for food. Which is WHY Joseph was sent ahead: to ensure that Israel did not starve and die out.

The Egyptians ruled the "west"... including the land of Canaan (where Abraham was sent)... while the Orientals ruled the "east" (where Abraham came from).

Regardless, the WTBTS doesn't have a clue regarding ANY of these things. They simply guess and speculate... hypocrites that they are (because they're always telling people NOT to guess/speculate).

Anyhow, I hope this helps clear some things up and, again, peace to you!

    A slave of Christ,

    SA
