I hope the witless religion not only loses their "non-profit charity" status, but that they get in Big Trouble for ongoing hate speech. Placing one article containing a paragraph describing apostates as "mentally diseased" people to be ostracized, and another nearby article about how apostates are worthy of being destroyed, is blatant hate speech. As these are not in the same article, the defense that it was impetuous does not apply. They didn't just use a bad word or phrase--I have seen officials get in more trouble for using a single "offensive" phrase once. In that environment, I hope the witlesses get in even worse trouble, since they are actually trying to enforce their crap.
And, I hope they unveil just how crappy the Washtowel actually is at teaching. Science? Not even close. They teach things as "demons" that are actually caused by thermal expansion or that could be explained simply with science. "Close, getting closer--therefore it must be getting here soon"--a sign of lousy algebra teaching. They teach nothing about other cultures except how the witlesses are doing in those countries--I could make quite a list of cities I knew nothing about until after pulling my head out of a washtowel, yet were major travel cities (like Auckland, Buenos Aires, Santiego, Montevideo, and Capetown). I learned more about money management, including wisely spending money, on my own after leaving the washtowel doctrine than I ever would have as a witless.
Also, people don't learn other skills. You never learn to make it in the real world as a witless. You never learn the Bible--this one is the worst, if only because they explicitly claim to teach the Bible. I learned more about the Bible (their supposed strength) as an apostate on Satan's side than I ever did while I was attending all the boasting sessions and reading all the rags and littera-trash. It is this--that you don't even learn the damn Bible properly despite that the witless religion claims to have the monopoly on that--that should cause them to lose their non-profit charity status. That you won't learn proper math, science, history, geography, financial, and other subject matter is only icing on the cake.
As for whether they will lose their non-profit charity status remains to be seen. If I were one of the Rothschilds in charge of the world, and I saw this crap going on, I would start taxing them to death and enslaving the leaders of the religion. But, they are skilled enough to lie in court to somehow fit in as a religion and claim to be doing all that good despite not teaching anyone anything properly. But at least we can hope for another major NBC Pedophile Embarrassment 11/21/2007--hopefully the deluxe version this time.
I don't know... I think the disparity between what they speak via the PR department ("people can leave, doesn't bother us") and the mag ("we hate apostates!") couldnt be clearer. I wouldnt doubt that the government sees the hypocrisy and takes a second look at the charitable status of a group who DESPISES ex members.
They would print anything, say anything and pretend to do anything to keep hold of the financial benefits of charitable status.
I think this is an area where if enough of us lobby the relevant authorities, in the U.K it is the Charity Commission, we culd get them investigated at least.
I know the C.C here say they have insufficient funds to thoroughly investigate all charities, but ahuge campaign could start something, after all, WTF do they do that is truly charitable ?
The chance they could lose charitable status is more or less 0% in my opinion. However, the publicity that is currently being generated is amazing and just announcing the police were involved (even if they decided to do nothing) has been a major PR success for non-JWs. So I think it's good to raise the subject at every opportunity even if in the end they will remain with charitable status.
One could only hope. I'll do a big celebration dance when they do.
But I dont see that happening. The public and gov't just has too much sensitivity when it comes to religion and God.
One day i think they will, along with a good many other fake charities. At a time when the public has a good belly full of all religion. Those that keep it will likely be those that actually do genuine charitable works... and they might distance the religious affiliations from them.
one day...

If one country could revoke their Charity status or non-profit status it could get other countries to follow. Today 400-500 Pastors are going to provoke the IRS by openly speaking about Conservative GOP Candidates. If the IRS revokes the non-profit status of their Churches it could expand to include Hate-Groups like the Watchtower that have specific mentions in their publications about the UN, Catholic C hurch and well 99.9% of the earth's population being killed by the 144,000 (aka JWs).
The picture from the Revelation Climax Book depicting the 144,000 (aka JWs) slaughtering innocent humans should be used as evidence.
