Has any one else heard of these places?

I have a link for you to look at

    http://www.jah-jireh.org/objectives.shtml

    here is there stated purpose

Jah-Jireh residential homes are established and run to give accommodation and personal care to dedicated, baptised Jehovah’s Witnesses who are in need of such care. The objective of this care is to provide an environment in which ur brothers and sisters will feel loved and looked after in a theocratic home which is run for their benefit and staffed only by brothers and sisters. This is absolutely necessary for those times when consolation and spiritual encouragement are necessary to care for the brothers and sisters.

Yes I have heard of them. I think there are a couple in Ontario, Canada. My Dad didn't want to go there. I found that very interesting.

I am now looking at the standard long term care facilities for him. You do have to qualify for these, though. He does as he has dementia.

The LTC facilities in Ontario are all the same price with a tiered system for a 'Basic' room, 'Semi-Private', and 'Private' but the newer places have better accommodations. The good thing is that the price will be subsidised by the government based on your last income tax assessment. So even though a Basic room is about $1620 per month, if you only get $700 a month, then what you pay is based on the $700 a month. They no longer make you sell off all our property either to pay. It's purely based on what you get per month as a retired person. I'd like to sign up myself but I don't qualify...yet.

My understanding is that the Jah-Jireh places are private but must be 'signed off' by the Watchtower.

Doesn't every local JW (predominately sisters) have a stint working there on minimum wage?
