Have there been "mass DF'ings" lately?

The reason I ask this is because my brother came by my job today for some brake repairs. For those of you who don't know, he was df'd a few months ago.
I was working while we talked and he was kind of vague. But I mentioned his df'ing and from what he said a whole lot of his friends locally got df'd and reproved. Apparently he's still hanging out with the reproved ones still in the Empire. I laughed and said it sounds like y'all had a rash of 'em. (meaning lots of df'ings all together) He said something typically vague to the effect that a lot of people were getting kicked out from here to Texas. He meant that last part - from here (Georgia) to Texas - literally. Then he clammed up and I had to get back to work.
Sounds like The Empire has a crackdown going on "double lives" and they're doing a sweep.
    Mike.

Or - it could be that someone's conscience finally kicked in and the junior JW mafia got ratted out. Seen it happen before.

While I disagree that the JC has any authority over people's lives, the upside could be that DFing will be the catalyst to making a complete break, or at least an examination.

    Interesting,

Junior JW Mafia, I like that.
Kind of reminds me of a scandal that happened around here in the early 80's. The Great Warner Robins Scandal. (Georgia - some of you may have even known about this) At the time my family lived nearby in Perry and my dad was an elder. He served on a few of the JC's and it really took its toll on him. It was like every Thursday night in Warner Robins there were more announcements of DF's and PR's.
The way I heard it - all from my elder dad - was that it was a "domino effect". One person gets caught for something and during confessing tell on others. Then they tell the JC about yet more people. Everyone knew what everyone else was up to and since they were all involved in "wrongdoing" they had a mutual code of silence. To hear it from hardliners like my dad, you'd think there were massive drunken orgies or something.
As the years went by, I heard of talks on the service meeting stating things like "elders are not 'spiritual policemen'" and CO's stating that elders should not be acting like police detectives. There was even a mention of elders following people around town covertly and how that was a no-no. Of course there were also local needs parts on young people forming cliques and keeping secrets.
I'm gonna have to get my brother to spill all the good stuff and analyze it. It sounds like about the same thing going on. I say that but now see it from a different angle. To quote his simple explanation of what happened, "just had to live life". Just like him, these kids want to be JW's but they also want to live outside the prison bars at least for a little while.
I'm gonna cut this post short for now. Y'all keep it to the top because I'd like to talk about this some more.

    whatever...

Hi Bendrr. I am curious to know more about this myself.

As for elders not being detectives - YEAH, RIGHT.

I can recall even where I live every now and then there is a good "house cleaning" of the dubs. Especially amongst the teens that have been out partying and then after have a bad conscience. They start to confess and "rating out" on their fellow party animals It happens all the time.

    Hello Bendrr,

    an interesting question.

Here in Europe, it looks like that they are

targetting those "...with a particular interest

in the Internet "...and those who publicize and /or

share their new discoveries within the congregation.

Let's see what they'll do next.

    Greetings, J.C.MacHislopp

There were two df'd and a few reproved in the latest cong. I had been attending. I noticed a lot of talk about more and more every year seemed to be getting df'd. I don't know what the actual numbers are. Some one this month I think posted the numbers . Can't remember the topic of the thread.

There seems to be a pattern to it, the way I heard from my bro. I'll have to ask him about the internet angle since he's online.
