O.K., I'll bite. I think she had priors and didn't take anything seriously. I think she deserves the sentence, even if it was a JW's purse that she stole. Yes, it is a hardship on her family. So was the gambling, I would imagine.
The only thing that disturbs me is that she will have room and board for those two years that I as a taxpayer will be paying for. I don't see why prisoners couldn't be out cleaning up trash and scraping dead animals off the road in a chain-gang like they used to when I was a young girl in Mississippi many years ago. They used to make license plates. At any rate, they should contribute to the cost of their care.

And on the other hand, I knew a Witness who stole a purse, and also got two years for it. And when he got out, his wife had a brand new nine month old son waiting for him. Um.......
