MIR, a participant in German board http://www.infolink-forum.de reports that he contacted the Dag-Hammarskjöld-Library and got the following reply from [email protected]
Look at no.4!
1. Can anybody - following a request and explanation as set out above - use
the library? Yes, provided the criteria have been met and the materials
required for research are not available elsewhere (i.e., depository library
or Internet). Subsequent to the tragic events of September 11th, for
security reasons issuance of library passes has temporarily been suspended.
2. If somebody requested access, for how long will this be valid [weeks,
months, years?]? A very limited period of time ranging from several days to
a week or two. In normal circumstances, this time-frame is adequate since
UN materials are available world-wide.
3. Do NGOs, which are registered with the UN's NGO Programme, have the
right
to use the Library freely without such request for access? All NGOs with
grounds passes have free access to the Library.
4. Did Jehovah Witnesses use the Library very often, as they state now in
their press-release? No, they did not. We cannot even prove that they ever
did.
