Why should we be asked to be born again?

In the first case, It wasn't our choice to be born, so why should we be asked to be born again?. Why can't "God" figure that out himself.

I had 3 brothers born before me who died not long after birth. I had a brother born right before me who was stillborn. I was born with the umbilical cord around my neck and was blue-but I survived.
Being born worked the first time. I don't believe in being born again.
