Guess who's coming to Thanksgiving Dinner?

I might be having BOTH active JWs and ex-JWs at the SAME table for Thanksgiving.

The ex-JWs will know who is an active JW.

But, should I tell the active JWs that there are going to be ex-JWs at the dinner?

I just don't know if I should. I am not going to announce the other denominations present - atheist, Catholic, Muslim, Jew, etc. Why should I for this occassion?

I admit, I just want to see the JW squirm. Or, is it that I want them to realize that it's THEM that has the problem?

What do I do? What should I do?

I wouldn't say anything. If it comes up naturally in conversation, that's one thing. Setting up an ambush isn't really cool, IMHO.

    But...

I would go all out for Thanksgiving. Decorations, big turkey w/all the traditional fixings and standard Thanksgiving desserts, like pecan & pumpkin pie. Before eating, make sure everyone gives their personal thoughts on what they're thankful for this past year and then have a big hand holding prayer. Now that'll make em squirm...

It sounds entertaining. Just leave the ball in the guest's court, and let them figure it out. I must say, it is strange that a JW would come for a dinner on Thanksgiving.

Since I was NEVER baptised, my JW family "expects" Thanksgiving dinner at my home. In fact, they seem to want to invite their worldly friends to my place too!

This year, I have some ex-JW buddies in the area and a few who from out of town who will HOPEFULLY change their mind and come. I miss you.......

Last year, I went to the Party Store, and really did Thanksgiving up big. The kids picked out all those cute decorations - pilgrim, turkeys, Mayflower boat, etc. Two turkeys, buffet tables, etc. Last year, we had about 15 or so people for dinner. No ex-JWs, but me and spouse. Lots of other denominations. The JWs had a great time. We even played some board games, drank, etc. Now, they are really looking forward to it.

I guess if it gets too out of hand, I can call the fuzz in. LOL.
