Today's Watchtower is offensive.

Actually, most everything in the Sept. 15, 2011 rag is offensive. But particularily the points that will cause extreme hardship in the lives of witlesses. The first part of today's article "Are You Letting Jehovah Be Your Share" (page 11), finds the "annointed" (a.k.a. gurvernin' buddy) boasting in themselves. Bad, but we have come to expect that from these arrogant, self-centered, egotistical, nacisistic, meglomaniacs .

What's offensive is what's found for example, in par. 4, where, after the GB has self-boasted, they hammer dubs who are sickly and can't perform to their required standard. "Yet, they (GB) do not use any limitations as an excuse to do only a small amount in God's service". Yes, wheelchair bound quads, pack a full days box of oxygen bottles on the back of your chair, put on a diaper and go pound the pavement. Git' on naw, ya hear!

But that's still not the worst. Paragraph 6, under the header "Seeking First the Kindom" says, ..."With no regard for their Creator, many devote themselves to making a comfortable living, raising a family, and leaving behind an inheritance." That's offensive, considering recently Watchtower tried to sue Fifth Third Bank because they were pissed at the bank, why? Because the damned Watchtower was trying to get at the 'inheritance' left behind by a Dub, and they were unsucessful. The family got the $100g's in the account! Evil family!

The above is also extremly offensive because Dubs are being pushed to quit their jobs and go on to experience hardship, 'trusting in God'. "Well, Jean-Claude realized that if he lost his job, God would look after him....Jehovah would help care for his family's material needs."

On top of that, paragraph 11 says "...working for a nonnuetral organization and was determined to put first God's righteousness." So, what... when the damned GB joined the evil United Nations, where was 'God's righteousness' then? (insert expletive)

The worst though is paragraph 15... "When spiritual light on some matter gets brighter, do you try to understand the underlying Scriptural reasons for the adjustment?"

Read the June 15, 2000 Questions from readers "Do Jehovah’sWitnessesacceptanymedicalproductsderivedfrom

    blood?"

You can look for one scriture, not two, not three, just one, that is used to support the change in doctrine allowing blood fractions, and you won't find it! In the rhetoric before the change, yes. In some blather after, yes. But in the contect of the change itself, it' all medical jargon, and 'new medical techniques'. So how the hell is one to "understand the underlying Scriptural reasons" when none, NONE are given?????

Dubs, all you need to know. (1) Quit your job. (2) Suffer. (3) Give your wealth to Watchtower. (4) Suffer some more. (5) Preach till you bleed. (6) DIE!

And your Gods in New York will be simply euphoric!

When hardships strike your family, are they willing to support you?

There's always gonna be words coming from the peanut gallery.

    An old country story goes:

A Man and his son were once going with their Donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side a countryman passed them and said: "You fools, what is a Donkey for but to ride upon?"

So the Man put the Boy on the Donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: "See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides."

So the Man ordered his Boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn't gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: "Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along."

Well, the Man didn't know what to do, but at last he took his Boy up before him on the Donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The Man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: "Aren't you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor donkey of yoursu and your hulking son?"

The Man and Boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the donkey's feet to it, and raised the pole and the donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the Donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the Boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the Donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned.

"That will teach you," said an old man who had followed them:

"Please all, and you will please none."

you are an adult, you're still letting the WT rule your life?

If you keep on listening to the peanut gallery, you're gonna fail!

I could not help but wonder how they manage to turn every scriptural theme into a "Do more in the Ministry and follow closely the F&DS" article, even a verse that was about the division of the land in Israel

Para's 13 - 15 are kind of clever in a devious way. They take an example in The Bible where people were puzzled at what Jesus said, and use it in support of following the latest twist from the WT, as if they were God Himself. They give the example of the Beroeans who "received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind, carefully examining the Scriptures daily"....but they omit the rest of the scripture which explains that the reasons they examined The Bible was "As to whether these things were so" ....They double checked the explanation and teaching with care..Dubs are only using The Bible to support WT teaching ..sheeplike (bleat bleat )

Ya know in a funny way, this reminds me of a broker I worked under for a few years.

His brokerage was doing well, he brought me in and trained me. After a few years, the economy changed and so did his workload. At 1st he was gung ho, "Just another slowdown, nothing to worry over." but it got slower, and despite everyone's best effort, times had definately changed.

Well unable to maintain his lifestyle, he starts blaming individual employees. Minor infractions are blown out of porportion. Everyone is to blame but him. His behavior becomes more erradic, and eventually people start leaving. As one leaves, he tears them down to the others who remain.

I was a loyal friend, but eventually it becomes too much so I leave. Huge blow out and basically to the remaining employees, I was described as an infection that had to be cut out despite that I was the #2 guy there.

He's left with a few hard core followers. They listen to every word he states until he finally closes the doors. Even then, a few employees waited on him while he would proces a few deals and give the remaining loyalist a few scraps.

Never did he ever consider the needs of his employees. Most just made enough of a living to get by. He just loaded them with blame and guilt and they bought it. I did at 1st, but I left early enough not to go down with the ship. Funny thing was this all took place after I left the WT.

So these articles badgering the rank and file, twisitng scriptures to make your own point, I've been there done that. It's called greed, narcism, anything to maintain the status quo.

I wasn't in the room for the whole rag, but I still heard enough crap.

If some of the dubs were to take out a whip and start to flail themselves right there in the hall, I wouldn't have been surprised. "Look at me governin bod... I luv's ya" Beat me some more, more, more.
