Jehovah and the Governing Body [are] synonymous
NO NO NO
The Governing Body is the sole channel of communication from Jehovah to His People on earth today. (NOT the same.)
Thus, the GB's "words" are Spirit Directed by Almighty God's Holy Spirit (not to be confused with being "inspired").
BUT, when their current "communication" is wrong, it is either because....
(1) the GB members are just "imperfect humans" who err, or...
(2) the people to whom they were communicating "read" too much into what they said, or "assumed" too much beyond what was actually stated, or...
(3) Jehovah communicated "old light" that was later proved wrong because He was allowing a "sifting work" to take place to allow faithful ones to prove their integrity (not to be confused with Jehovah "testing" His People -- he never puts people to a "test"). [NOTE: The "wrong" Old Light may eventually become New Light again in the future. Perhaps to allow more "sifting". (??)
See, it's simple. You were obviously just confused.

DoC- Lol! You put it very nicely. And that's pretty much a fact. It's an impossible concept to take on. "Accept whatever we say as it is from Jehovah himself. But if it happens to be wrong, ignore and discard it, as it wasn't really from God. We were just making things up as best we could"

Well, remember...........there was a lot of those mistakes (flip flops) that were instituted by that modern-day Judas, by the name of Franz, who snuck by the Holy Spirit and got himself appointed to the GB (obviously nepotism at work, considering the name and all). It's all to blame on him (at least in the 70s & 80s). Who's the new scapegoat gonna be?
