Does anyone have a link or know the winter convention/assembly dates? Around here they usually try to make them on Christmas day, or so it seems to me. Christmas falls on a Sunday so I'm just wondering what I'm in for this year. thanks much.

Do you mean circuit assemblies/special days or the DCs in the southern hemisphere in our winter (corresponding to our summer)?
If it is circuit assemblies/special days, they start in September every year and rotate with the Special Day Assembly through May (perhaps even through June). I don't think they put a schedule of them in any publications. You have to be at the meeting when it is anounced at the KH or have someone who was there let you know.
The North American DCs in English used to be put in the publications.
Note: You could have a non-jw friend call the KH and inquire as to the dates.
I know what area you live in but I don't access to that information. Circuit assemblies can be on any date and depends on how the CO schedules it and what the WTS wants. Since several congregations use the same assembly hall, booking almost every weekend. no congregation has the Xmas choice exclusively.

Thank you Blondie.
All I know is that every time Christmas falls on a weekend my jw has had one of those 2 dayer things. I don't think he has a choice of venue like in summer when he will drive north and go to that convention so it doesn't interfere with his summer vacation plans.

Hey Carla,
As Blondie said, your JW attends the assembly hall where every weekend, I believe except for one (for major cleaning/repairs), has circuit assemblies and special one day assemblies. He could choose a different circuit's meetings. I don't remember it as a HUGE sin unless he is a servant.... then they would frown on that decision.
