Even though i've been out for three years now this year was the first time i paid attention to the royal british legion and its poppy appeal. Rather than now dissmissing it as glorifing murderers and war. I now view it as a brilliant cause that rasies money for wounded service men and women and their widows and children.
I wore my poppy with pride and will now do so each year.
I did indeed! I wore a red and a purple one... Babysprout is in the Brownies so she was involved with the parade... I was really proud to be British today.
