I watched the Nicolas Cage film The Knowing http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0448011/ last night and I'm sure

that the pictures of Daniel's prophecies of wheels within wheels were from Watchtower literature. I don't mean the newer publications but old pictures from the earlier books on Daniels prophecies. (old black and white line drawings). At one point in the movie, the little girl is colouring in jehovah, in yellow, and saying, "it's the sun" (which brings destruction).

I would like to show this to someone if anyone has any scans of these old pictures, I would be very greatful.

Anyway, it's an interesting film if you haven't already seen it.

If no-one has a scan from the Daniel book, has anyone seen the film or found it interesting?

I'm sure they use aphotoshoped version of this picture in the film, see the "sunshine" around what I presume is Jehovah. In the film the little girl colours in the sunshine and says that is what brings the destruction. Did you see the film last night on film4?

What made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end was in the film there is automatic writing. A woman used to bring reems and reems of her automatic writing to the kingdom hall and leave it with the PO who used to politely accept it an (I presume) dispose of it. I gues the poor woman thought people preaching about the end of the world would appreciate her efforts.

It could be pictures from 7th day adventists too. They were big into the same types of prophesies. No wonder. JW's are considered off-shoots of the adventists.

Yeah I thought it was a really good film too. And I'm not sure if that picture above is from the 1970's literature or not now. I think it is credited to somewhere else. I can tell you it is similar to drawings used or made by the society back then.

Good movie. The little girl scratching the numbers down until her fingers are bloody reminds me of the JWN poster OBVES and his obsession with his numbers.
