any thoughts on this?

i was just thinking to myself about how many %$% ups the jw/wt crew make, whether on personal levels, or on doctrinal levels. it seems like whenever stuff like this happens, whether it's trivial or really they botch something major, the answer is always just, "more field service, or pray more". what about the countless victims they have accrued? and i'd guess 9 times out of 10 the victims never get an apology, nothing. whether they are a victim of botched doctrine, or molestation, wife beating, "marking", whatever on and on and on and on and on and on....

i'm not making this post just because i'm bored, i actually have a lot of work to do. i'm really trying to figure out the morality of all this. the countless victims whatever category they fit in to, 9 times out of 10 these people do not get any kind of apology right? or anything for that matter right? those who victimized these people, are never accountable to those that they victimized? they just "do more field service, or pray more"....

i'm trying to wrap my head around this...i can't. does this make any sense to any sane human being?

if i was molested while "worshipping god"...and i stop going to meetings....nobody ever says sorry to me, nothing. i am just expected to go back to the meetings on my own, hoping that the person that molested me did more hours in service?

or if someone spread lies about me in the congregation because of jealousy or whatever the case might be...and i stop going to meetings...i'm supposed to just go back to meetings expecting that those involved just prayed more?

how does this sound like anything other than cult behavior?

does this not at the very least show those in this organization who seem like honest sincere people....does this at the very least not show these people that your entire organization is working off of a false premise? and a false foundation? and you can stomach that? you can stomach going around telling people you are teaching them the truth, while you know your entire religion is working off a false premise? i welcome any real jw lurking here, to tell me how any honest human being could do this and remain just that, an honest person?

it's either one or the other. it's either god wants the society to be run as a respectable responsible society. OR god wants you to just pray more and keeps a hands off approach to all of this criminal activity. it's not both. both = lie. both = cognitive dissonance. god is perfect, both = imperfect. you are teaching lies, packaged in truth, period.

there is no half justice. if the us govt. just took 10-15% of criminals and dealt with them in the courts and prison system, then left the other 85% up to god...guess where society would be? crumbling under no structure.

Perhaps the best way to wrap your head around it is to realize that the JWs do NOT operate on the same moral plain as most of society.

They have been hardened against all empathy. Despite all the self praise they heap on themselves on that subject, few have any real idea of it, let alone application of it.

The solution to EVERYTHING from masturbation to acne, from pedophiles to jerks is a so called 'godly' approach. They cannot live in the here and now, they have had all life skills removed and replaced with a zombie brain. Armageddon is the cure to every single thing that ails.

To think that actually DOING something themselves is an act of rebellion against the belief that Jehovah is the solution to everything.
