They also had rules against jury duty. Probably quite a few got in trouble for not doing jury duty--and now are having trouble getting jobs or expatriating because of their criminal record on that incident. Then they change the rules allowing jury duty--and those who got in trouble for not doing jury duty were doing Jehovah's will for them at that time. This is to absolve the Washtowel Slaveholdery of any liability.
The same thing applies to alternative military service. Quite a few witlesses ended up doing time in jail for not doing military service, and couldn't do alternative service either because the Washtowel wanted to make things miserable for them. Then they change the rules, allowing alternative military service. Rather than doing anything to help those affected, the Washtowel Slaveholdery absolves itself of liability with that "We don't harbor any bitterness for having needlessly gotten in trouble obeying the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebuggery". Now, they cannot expatriate (they will not pass the police check with a felony on their record), get a decent job (a felony on their record), or get decent credit. All for a rule that was subsequently changed!
And they will not accept getting sued for this rubbish. I believe the organization ought to be 100% liable for this, and get taxed right out of existence by those countries where they were preaching their members to blow off jury or military duty.
