This is my new book on my to read list. Has anyone read it or heard of it. He was on WPR this week and it got me thinking about all the gossip at the KH and how the men think only women gossip. He said that men gossip equally as much.

Blondie have not read it but it looks like it could be a good read.

We had a saying which is well known but adapted for JW's and that was "there are three forms of communication, telephone, television and tell and elder" so I think that kind of sums it all up

Thanks for the info Blondie. I'll add it to my never-ending list.

I heard a snippet on NPR the other day explaining some of the benefits of gossip. Can't remember all the specifics, but one was, you're confiding in the person you're gossiping to and, provided the gossip isn't too horific, it's a healthy aspect of social interaction.

Elders are very often the worst gossips in a congregation

Good read. Yes, men gossip as well. It's a way to get to know about an event, without asking directly (sometimes asking directly offends).

And Blondie, we like to read your WT comments, but anything else is welcome too

    Thank you.
