So can we get a directory going of who wrote various Kingdom Melodies songs? I know Frank Kavelin (who has happily since left the cult) had a hand in writing "Make the Truth Your Own," and "Make Sure of the More Important Things." But who were some of the writers that penned the rest of the tunes?

Do you really think anyone would want to be known for writing such god-awful tuneless monstrosities?

Anyways, Harold King wrote music & lyrics for the tuneless monstrosity "From House to House" when imprisoned in China in the 40's or 50's.

    Don't know of any others.

why bother, with the exception of those Frank and a few other truly talented musicians wrote, most were penned by musically challeneged individuals. Even songs like Franks were bastardized with a slightly different melody to accomodate the lyrics that the GB preferred

The song "Forward You Witnesses " (No 27 in the new book) was written by Erich Frost in a Prison Camp, according to a WT article once..

I know the guy who wrote the "children" one, and one of the baptism, (or was it paradise) songs, but I wouldn't his name on a public DB.

The harshest and most unloving C.O. I ever met, Alonzo Hawkins, claimed to have written a few. I didn't care enough to ask which ones.
