Just finished reading a novel. A nice well written fiction called "Stonehenge" by Bernard Cornwell.

A story of ancient tribes trying figure out the will of the gods. The priests who claim to be the go-betweens, the power hungry cheiftans that bribe the priests and the misled fools who slave there lives away for promised and never delivered blessings of the gods.

Certainly made me rethink the whole role of religion all over again.

Nothing more than power. Power and glory for a few who get to rule, power and glory for those who see the scam and exploit it by being priests all at the expense of the masses who want nothing more than to have a decent existance.

From times ancient, to the birth of christianity and all its sects, Jehovahs Witnesses included, all tared with the same brush.

It disgusts me more than you know, more than words express, i want to vomit on the concept of 'worship and gods' and 'holy book'.

I agree, Oz. I really despise the fact that religions prey on the fears, delusions, and superstitions of the masses. It's disgusting, to say the least!

    ...and LMAO @ sky cake!

Funny not, how the concept of 'sky cake' actually just gave justification to the tribes of the earth to kill, rape and pillage

for a cause instead of just 'coz we can'.
