If it's their hair, there should be a lot of competition.
I know my sister would be in for a gold, she is always doing something with her hair.

Curling is a sport where I do not understand the appeal. One person hurls the stone down the ice while two more sweep it's path? Hmmmmm...

In the US I've seen a couple of commercials that are half-mocking curling. I was surprised to find out the US has a team, but not at all shocked to find out they suck.

    Great britain won the gold.

Curling is a very advanced game and can only be understood by persons of a very high IQ.

    So there.

Curling. What a boring-ass activity. Sorta like shuffle board for younger people who are too old to do anything younger people do.

I'm kind of sceptical to women playing with stones and throwing them away, clinking them together, and so on....

Seems that the scoring is similar to bowls, you get a point for every stone that is nearer to the centre than your opponents stones.

Some facts: Stones are made of granite from the island of Ailsa Craig off the west coast of Scotland. They weigh a minimum of 44 pounds and must be at least 36 inches in circumferance. The sweeping actually lubricates the ice so that the stone can be influenced in pace and direction.

And I thought that they were throwing kettles...!
