By Dayo JohnsonAKURE —POLICE in Ondo state yesterday paraded a 23 year old suspected cannibal Saliu Ojo for allegedly roasting and eating a 40 year old mother of four, and 25 other suspected criminals.
Mr. Paul Ochonu, the police commissioner, told newsmen in Akure that Saliu, a labourer was hired by one Mrs Christanah Elijah at Ago Alhaji village near Owo only to be matchatted and roasted.

Mr Ochonu however raised alarm over the non-challant attitude of the state government in providing logistic support to the state command.
He said that the vehicles presently being used by the command were given to the state by the military regime in 1997.
"We have enough manpower but we lack vehicles to work; we are having problem in tracking down robbers because we don’t have the logistic support from the state government.
"We are greatly handicapped, we now deploy policemen to strategic areas because of lack of vehicles to move them around, it is difficult combating crimes in the state.
"It is surprising that it is only Ondo state out of all the Alliance for Democracy (AD) states that has not taken care of their police command, it is disturbing and unbelievable" the commissioner said.
Speaking on the illegal gun manufacturer the police commissioner said that he was apprehended with his locally manufactured gun at Okitipupa.
