Yeah, hubby just told me. It's so sad. I grew up dancing to Soul Train.
I wonder how it had gotten so bad that he felt he had to take his own life.

Remember word scramble? They had white letters randomly placed on a black stickum board, and the guests would try to guess the word and spell it out.
It was usually something from black history - like "Nelson Mandela" or such.
I think Soul Train was historic - maybe the first positive black cultural image on the TV media.

Very sad! Don had a very unique style and the "soul" truly flowed in his veins. That man had a voice!!! I read that he went through an ugly divorce around 2009 and had some health issues, so those factors may have played into this outcome. Whatever the circumstances, it was sad to hear of his passing.
