Another brilliant example of circular reasoning from the wtbts

*** jv 704 31 How Chosen and Led by God ***
    Chapter 31
How Chosen and Led by God
“IT IS only logical that there would be one true religion. This is in harmony with the fact that the true God is a God, ‘not of disorder, but of peace.’ (1 Corinthians 14:33) The Bible says that actually there is only ‘one faith.’ (Ephesians 4:5) Who, then, are the ones who form the body of true worshipers today? We do not hesitate to say that they are Jehovah’s Witnesses,” declares the book You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth.

The sad thing is millions are still being misled by such inane reasonings.
Has anybody got any other examples?

The Watchtower God is definitely not a God of disorder...

If confronted with a rapist, scream...don't...scream....don't...scream...

Sodom and Gomorrah residents will be resurrected..won't...willl...won't...

organ transplants and medically prescribed blood is okay..isn't..some of it...isn't...maybe...sometimes...never...

elders are chosen: by holy spirt...by other elders...by the Watchtower...by the publishers...by jesus Christ...

I love this quote I put on another thread from the old organization book, page 155:

"Wherever dissension and disunity exist, there is evidence of some unclean force working."

    ROTFLMAO

In 1975 a crack team of publishers was sentenced to death by a judicial commiteee. They promptly escaped from the cult and now live life on the run. If you have a problem ... and if you can find them ... maybe you can contact the A--postate Team"

I found no reasoning what so ever in the quote. It is a simple assertion without any form of evidence. all in all, the statement is generic.

IT IS only logical that there would be one true religion. This is in harmony with the fact that the true God is a God, ‘not of disorder, but of peace.’ (1 Corinthians 14:33) The Bible says that actually there is only ‘one faith.’ (Ephesians 4:5) Who, then, are the ones who form the ones who form the body of true worshipers today? We do not hesitate to say that they are (insert name here),” declares the book (insert name here).

I remember at the very last meeting I attended the WT conductor said, “if we were now in a court of law, it would be proven without a doubt that Jehovah’s Witnesses are the one true religion.”

Haaaa haaaa heheheeee! That was it for me (the last of many straws).

I can't help laughing when I ask myself that question. And it reminded me a quote that zev posted a few weeks back. here it is for your enjoyment.

    *** pe 191-202 23 God's Visible Organization ***
    Chapter 23
    God’s Visible Organization
"WHY CAN WE be certain that God has a visible organization? One reason is that he has an invisible organization."

    BBBWWWWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHA!!

    so ya'll remember this:
How do we know Jesus is the visible head at the worldwide headquaters of the wbts? Because he's invisible! get it?

    Hi all,

This stuff would have any self-respecting editor's head spinning; so much of what they print tramples many of the principles of responsible journalism.

``The Bible says that actually there is only `one faith''' does it? Hey, these guys know their Bible!

It also says there's but ``one hope" (WT editors, note: That's ``One Faith, NOT two).

    ThiChi quoted:

"I remember at the very last meeting I attended the WT conductor said, “if we were now in a court of law, it would be proven without a doubt that Jehovah’s Witnesses are the one true religion.”

That has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I've never attending any other church that pats itself on the back so much.
