I have always loved the Beatles. I was especially amazed to see how close the audience was to the band members. Wish I was there.

Glenster,
What a wonderful treat! Unexpected, too, but very much appreciated. They have brought so much joy in my life.
May I ask what you think of McCartney's latest release of songs from his parents' generation?

I haven't heard it yet, but I read "My Valentine" w/Eric Clapton is the best track.
I think the slight distortion or gravelly-sound in John's voice in the louder
notes for "Walrus" comes from putting it through a tube amp just up under the
saturation level.John's rhythm guitar for Paul's "She Loves You'" sounds stronger than I'd
remembered hearing it isolated for a recording made in the early '60's.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ot2yb4VC4TQ

On second listen, the guitar recording above for "She Loves You" isn't
isolated from the original tracks.
