Has anyone here ever heard the terms "spiritual sacrifice" or "spiritual indigestion" and if so what do these mean?

Spiritual indigestion was a term we used to use for people who read copious amounts of the societys literature but didn't take the time to meditate on what they were reading. Something akin to chewing your food properly before swallowing.

was this a term used in the 1960's or 1970's cause I haven't heard it for a long time?
the other one spiritual sacrifice I've heard it that a person makes a spiritual sacrifice and is aux pioneering this month.
kind of stupid term if you ask me spiritual sacrifice OK I made a spiritual sacrifice by working overtime wednesday night and missing the meeting!
a spiritual sacrifice but a material gain

I missed out on overtime to attend the meeting so I made a MATERIAL SACRIFICE for spiritual gain

Spiritual indigestion was a term used at least until the 90's but used by older ones. To me it simply meant "I've had a gutsful"
And, yes, spiritual sacrifice was usually used with reference to using your three or four weeks annual leave to go pioneering. (It had nothing to do with pentagrams and virgins BTW)

Spiritual sacrifice = field service
Spiritual indigestion = that's when you eat of the sacrifice (you believe what you are telling the householder, e.g. about 1914 and the generation)
Sorry, couln't help that. That's my personal interpretation.

I definitely have spiritual indigestion....comes from going to the KH.
