In the 1958 preface for A Brave New World, Aldous Huxley paints a rather grim portrait of society. He believes it is controlled by an “impersonal force”, a ruling elite, which manipulates the population using various methods.

“Impersonal forces over which we have almost no control seem to be pushing us all in the direction of the Brave New Worldian nightmare; and this impersonal pushing is being consciously accelerated by representatives of commercial and political organizations who have developed a number of new techniques for manipulating, in the interest of some minority, the thoughts and feelings of the masses.”
    - Aldous Huxley, Preface to A Brave New World

His bleak outlook is not a simple hypothesis or a paranoid delusion. It is a documented fact, present in the world’s most important studies on mass media. Here are some of them:

    H i,

Is that the illuminati with the new world order, lol!

By the way just because it sounds ridiculous doesn't mean it isn't true!

I'm sure it is true but I don't think there is some mastermind pulling all the strings I see a variety of forces directing the masses, with perhaps some major players.

I have to go along with frankiespeakin. While I believe there is a great force behind the manipulation, it is imho most likely a group of like-minded megalomaniacs.

    Sounds right to me.

There is more than one group trying to do this. The Rothschilds, with their banking cartel, is one of those groups. The Christi-SCAM church is another--and I mean the whole of Christi-SCAM-ity. They are actually trying to bring another Dark Ages, and force people to live like the Jews did as slaves to the church.

While Agenda 21 and Agenda 21+ (the deluxe version of Agenda 21) involve slavery (the deluxe version is absolute), Christi-SCAM-ity involves worse. Any questions? Anyone wanting to understand what life under a theocracy would be like should research the Law of St Benedict. Everything is strict--going to church 7 times per day including in the middle of the night, more church time than any other waking activity (and barely more than sleep), and restrictions on everything. No private property--your computer would be shared by everyone in the monastery. Even a damn pencil is public property. Any thinking outside the church is prohibited, ultimately under getting burned at the stake. Miss a church, or try a minor alteration in your religion, and get burned at the stake.

Sounds like what is ahead? Agenda 21+ is, but the Christi-SCAM-ity enslavement is not. That happened when a tyrant seized on Christi-SCAM-ity to enslave the whole world. That was the First Dark Ages, and lasted more than 1,000 years without such technology as spyware, wire tapping your cell phones, satellites and GPS, and drones.

We see this daily in the media and cannot fool ourselves that we are immune to it. It is not Illuminati , just commercial interests for profit and political interests for power.

I don't buy it. Mass Media just doesn't have that kind of power over most people theses days. If you have a TV in your home all you have to do it=s change the channel for an opposing opinion. If you read a newspaer you get different perspectives. And if you are on the internet the world is filled with opposing thoughts and ideas.

Huxley had no idea back in 1958 that the somethign called the internet would have such a worldwide impact on the dissemination of information to the masses. Those of us who have been freed from the clutches of the kind of cvontrol the WTS seeks to impose on JWs id s a perfect example of how mass media is losing the battle to contoil people. So many are getting on the internet and learning the real truth about the WTS and JWs.

These days all a person has to do when they don't like what is being said on TV or the internet is click a little button and it is gone.

A while back I found this list and think it is important to take a good look at it.

Some people will buy into some of th einformation that comes there way. There are plenty of people who firmly believe they were abducted by aliens, studied and then returned to earth. And if you look on the internet you could, maybe, possibly agree that it really happened.

The important thing to do with any information you get is to look at it critically, and not just accept whatever information suits your inclination at the time.

Lady Lee is absolutely correct. I would only point out that many people have staked out their beliefs and invested their entire self image and social/family structure in those beliefs. They are only looking for reinforcement in their choices of information sources, thus the status quo.

A complicated way of saying that a lot of people suffer from arrested development.

Mass media has lost some of its influence due to network media (the internet) but its not dead yet. Still a fundamental influence on people's lives.
