...no heads were beheaded!
No one got drunk (it was held in a public park where it's illegal to drink anyhow)
No one took drugs
And the only smokers were a small group of older ladies!

I attended my first birthday party a few weeks ago for a friend who turned 50. I felt decidedly naughty singing happy birthday but it made the cake taste so much better.The good hearted teasing was that i was a birthday virgin. heh heh not anymore.

Good for you!! I did an entire birthday weekend for my BF, baked his cake, etc. Still haven't been to an actual PARTY, but really looking forward to it!! I plan on getting a cake for each of my JW-raised children and celebrating their birthdays without them complete with photos...this way when they're older, they will see their birthdays WERE celebrated and they even had cake!!

Wow, no beheadings? What a disappointing birthday party!
I guess the tradition of beheading was replaced with cake-eating.
