I asked her: "hypothetically..., what if the Mormons were the ones with the true religion? Would you think it would be fair or loving for God to destroy you, me and our child, just because we didn't respond to them at the door?"
She didn't really have much of an answer...I hope it will kick in some "deep thoughts"

Very logical and very pointed.
Hopefully that question and her mental response to it, will flow around her mind from time to time and when she hears at the hall that they are doing a life saving work maybe, just maybe she will see the inconsistency of their outlook as compared to others. Hopefully she will start to see the chink in their armour.
Good question. I like the focus on how fair or loving it would be for God to kill a family, includsing child, because they do not happen to have the good fortune of belonging to the "right" religion.

LOL OODad! Literally speaking, though, this is actually what millions upon milions of humans believe, whether JWs or members of some other nutty exclusivist group.
